Arriving Ocracoke Fishermen to Enjoy Extra Ferry Runs

The Ocracoke Invitational Surf Fishing Tournament begins May 3, and arriving contestants and families will enjoy smooth sailing to their destination thanks to an enhanced ferry schedule between Hatteras and Ocracoke.

The N.C. Department of Transportation's Ferry Division has added extra departures to its Hatteras Inlet schedule. There will also be an unscheduled "shuttle" boat to help alleviate any significant traffic backups that occur during the day.
