Update Regarding Dare County Facilities
and Services for Friday, January 19

NCDOT continues to clear primary roadways, but many secondary roads remain covered in snow and ice. These icy conditions will persist into Friday morning. If you must travel, take it slow, give work crews plenty of space and proceed with caution. Allow extra time to reach your destination.

Opening of all Dare County offices and facilities will be delayed until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19.

Dare County Public Works plans to resume garbage collection on Friday, January 19 with service for customers in Kitty Hawk, Colington, Manteo, Wanchese, Manns Harbor, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Avon. Collection for various areas will be contingent on road conditions and pick-ups will likely be delayed.

All court sessions scheduled for Dare County on Friday, January 19 have been cancelled. New court dates will be set and notifications for the new court dates will be mailed on Tuesday, January 23. If you have any questions concerning a court date, you may call the Dare County Clerk of Court’s Office at 252-475-5200 or check the web at http://www1.aoc.state.nc.us/www/calendars/CriminalQuery.html.
