The National Park Service (NPS) announced that there are several excavation viewing opportunities this week on Hatteras Island.
excavation will take place near Ramp 55 in Hatteras village on
Thursday, August 2, at 10 a.m., and a second excavation is scheduled
for Friday, August 3, at 10 a.m. at the Frisco Day Use Area, just south
of Frisco’s town borders.
