Eastport, ME – Mikepassed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Warrenton, Va. surrounded byfamily. A brilliant, humble and sweet man he was born in FortBenning, Ga. to Ret. Colonel Thomas Gerald Rosell and Caroline LatiniRosell. He spent his childhood traveling the world as an ArmyBrat. This was how his love of travel and history began. Hewas an avid reader and could discuss battles from Ancient Rome thruWorld War II.
Mike was always drawn tothe sea. He was a true waterman pulling crab pots or gill nets inHatteras, NC to lobster pots in Eastport, ME. He had salt air inhis blood and was happiest near the sea. His family and friendshave many fond memories of spending days on the Frisco Pier withhim. He always had a warm smile and welcoming hello for old andnew friends.
Mike has a large familystretching from the East to West Coast that will miss the twinkle inhis eye, radiating smile and his big bear hugs greatly. Agathering will be held in Hatteras, NC to share Mike stories on June23, 2018. The time and location to be determined but all arewelcome.
