AVON– Kelly Jean Gray, 42, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, in herresidence. Kelly was born in Chesapeake, VA., and was a retiredrestaurant owner and manager.
She was the daughter of Osborne Gibb Gray of Avon and the late Alta Jean Holloway Gray.
Besidesher father, surviving are her daughters, Savannah Eden Jean Mulder ofBuxton and Kalee Shay Barnett of Frisco; one sister, Susie MarieWilliams of Avon; four brothers, Brian James of Buxton, Shawn James ofChesapeake, Va., Mitchell James, and stepbrother Ozzie Gray ofJarvisburg, N.C.; Kelly is also survived by many nieces andnephews and friends on Hatteras Island. Her favorite nieces and nephewswhom she was a mother to are Rachel, Nathan, P.J., and JasonWilliams. Kelly was predeceased by her daughter Samantha Foster.
Aservice of remembrance will be in Saint John’s United Methodist Churchon Monday, Aug. 27, at 2 p.m. by Rev. Dwight Burrus. A time offellowship with the family will be in the fellowship hall of the churchimmediately following the service. Memorials may be made to the familyto help with expenses at P.O.
