BUXTON– Billie Foote Barnett, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 18, 2014at her home. Born in Covington, Ky., she was the daughter of the lateWilliam Foote and Beulah Holt Foote, and the widow of Thomas Hetzer.Billie retired with the NCDOT Ferry Division where she proudly servedin multiple capacities.
Billie is survived by a son, JonathanHetzer and wife, Connie; a brother, Bryan Foote and wife, Erica; andtwo grandchildren, Payton and Gage.
A visitation will be heldon Saturday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m. at Twiford Funeral Home, Island Chapelin Hatteras. A funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 4p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be madeto the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation, PO Box 442, Hatteras, NC27943, or the Outer Banks SPCA, PO Box 2477, Manteo, NC 27954.
