Traffic stop leads to drug arrest of Rodanthe man

On April 08, 2020 at approximately 9:15 pm., a Dare County Sheriff’s Office C – District Deputy conducted a traffic stop for a revoked license in the area of Old Light House Road in Buxton, NC. During that traffic stop an amount of THC Wax and numerous prescription medications were seized. Shelby Tyler Midgett, (M/35) of the 2400 block of N. Holiday Boulevard in Rodanthe, NC was arrested for (Felony) Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance. Midgett has been released on a $5,000 secured bond.
