Hyde County Provides Vaccine Appointment Info for Residents 65 and Older, Health Care Workers

Hyde County released the following update for Tuesday, January 19, which provides information on how individuals on the mainland and on Ocracoke Island can schedule an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine.

If you want a COVID-19 vaccine shot, and you are 65 years of age or older, or a health care worker, you are eligible and should schedule an appointment.

To schedule an appointment at the Hyde County Health Department, we have a new phone number. Please call 252-926-4467. Leave a message if you do not talk to someone. Please be patient while waiting for a return phone call.

If you want an appointment on Ocracoke, please call 252-489-3622. Leave a message if you do not talk to someone. Please be patient while waiting for a return phone call.

After receiving your shot, you must continue to practice the 3 Ws – Wear a facial covering, Wait 6 feet, Wash your hands frequently.
