Maggie Easley, Staff Nurse at OBMG Family Medicine, Avon, is The Outer Banks Hospital and Medical Group’s April, 2021 Employee of the Month. She joined OBMG in December, 2016.

In the years since she joined the team, Easley has proven to be an exceptional nurse with an incredibly compassionate heart. She consistently works her hardest to tackle any problem that comes her way. Most recently, she put in some long and demanding days where she was the only nurse on staff due to illness and other family situations that arose. Her team appreciates her ability to juggle so many responsibilities and still keep her positive attitude and high standard of patient care.

Knowledgeable, dependable, kind, ‘a ray of sunshine even on the toughest days’ – these are just a few of the ways Easley has been described by her manager and other team members. She also is known for frequently offering to help in the lab and other areas, bringing a warm and comforting presence to patients and co-workers. Maggie can always be counted on as a reliable team player.

Easley is also an active member of the Hatteras Island community. She volunteers for the rescue squad on her days off and gives time freely to other causes that arise, such as clean up on Ocracoke Island after Hurricane Dorian. She has a calling to be of service to others and is adored by many for her spirit of generosity.

Upon hearing that she had been chosen as the April, 2021 Employee of the Month, Easely stated, “My most favorite part about my job is coming to work every day and taking care of the people in my community.”
