The N.C. Ferry System will enhance its schedule on Wednesday, May 2 and Saturday, May 5 to accommodate hundreds of anglers attending the 35th Annual Ocracoke Invitational Surf Fishing Tournament.
“It’s a huge event for the Ocracoke community, and we want to make sure that all the tournament participants can get to the island safely and easily,” said Ferry Division Director Harold Thomas.
The schedule for Wednesday, May 2 and Saturday, May 5 will be as follows:
From Hatteras: 5, 6:15, 7:20, 8:35, 9, 9:15, 9:40, 10, 10:30, 10:55, 11:20, 11:35 a.m. and noon, 12:20, 12:50, 1:15, 1:40, 1:55, 2:20, 2:40, 3:10, 3:35, 4, 4:15, 5, 5:30, 5:45, 6:20, 6:35, 6:45, 7:20, 7:50, 8:15, 9:15, and 10:45 p.m., midnight.
From Ocracoke: 5, 6:10, 7:25, 8:30, 9:45, 10:10, 10:25, 10:50, 11:10, and 11:40 a.m., 12:05, 12:30, 12:45, 1:10, 1:30, 2, 2:25, 2:50, 3:05, 3:30, 3:50, 4:20, 4:45, 5:10, 5:25, 6:10, 6:40, 7, 7:30, 7:45, 8, 8:30, 9, 9:30 and 10:30 p.m., midnight.
The route will resume its published spring schedule on Sunday, May 6.
