Sheriff’s Office, NPS make three drug-related arrests at ORV Ramp 49 in Frisco
On July 1, 2023, at approximately 11:48 p.m., Dare County Sheriff’s Office Deputies working the C-District assisted the National Park Service (NPS) with a suspicious vehicle located on ORV Ramp 49 in Frisco.
During the encounter, probable cause was established to search the vehicle. During the search, an amount of Psilocybin Mushrooms, Marijuana, THC, and Paraphernalia were located and seized.
Benjamin Kemp Smith, M/18, of Hayes, Virginia, was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, (M) Possession of Marijuana greater than 1/2 ounce, (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
James Allen Rooks, M/18, of Williamsburg, Virginia, was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia, and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Gaius Roger Del Negro, M/18, Williamsburg, Virginia, was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, (M) Possession of Marijuana, (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia, and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All three individuals were given a $2,000 secured bond.
