KILL DEVIL HILLS — Elizabeth Mosolygo Spisak, age 95, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, peacefully passed away on December 26, 2023. She was born on February 27, 1928, in Hungary, to the late Elizabeth Yonas and Anthony Mosolygo.
Elizabeth attended Holy Redeemer by the Sea Catholic Church, where she found solace and spiritual guidance throughout her life. She was known for her quiet strength and unwavering faith, which served as a source of inspiration to those who knew her.
Elizabeth’s family and friends mourn the loss of a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael Spisak, and her parents, Elizabeth Yonas and Anthony Mosolygo. She leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her daughter, Anita Mooney (William); her son, Tom Spisak; and her sister, Ilona Akyavas.
A graveside service to celebrate Elizabeth’s life will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Roanoke Island Memorial Gardens. Rev. John Hanley, osfs will officiate the service, providing solace and support to those gathered to pay their final respects.
Elizabeth Mosolygo Spisak will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith. May she find eternal peace in the arms of her loved ones and may her memory continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
