Ocracoke-Mainland ferries suspended on Tuesday morning
4:30 p.m. Tuesday update: The Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry has also been suspended due to weather.
The Ocracoke-Swan Quarter and Ocracoke-Cedar Island ferry operations have been suspended as of Tuesday morning, January 9, due to deteriorating weather conditions, per an update from the North Carolina Ferry System.
Ferry service will resume once weather conditions improve. The Hatteras-Ocracoke vehicular ferry will likely be suspended later on Tuesday due to the approaching storm.
