BUXTON — Robert Gray Schwartz, Sr., 67, of Buxton, NC died Friday,September 29, 2017, at Peak Resources – Outer Banks. Born in Norfolk,VA on November 16, 1949, he was the son of the late Iris JohnsonSchwartz and Robert Lee Schwartz.
A resident of Hatteras Island since 1970, Robert was a former commercial fisherman and retired as a brick mason.
Robert is survived by his wife, Melodi Gray Schwartz; four children,Robert Gray Schwartz, Jr. and wife Elke, Stefan Gray Schwartz, LaceyIris Schwartz all of Buxton, NC and Justin Cole Davis and wife Sara ofPortland, OR; and three grandchildren, Haven, Keith, and Lauren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017,at Hatteras United Methodist Church with Rev. Toni Wood and Rev. DwightBurrus officiating. A reception will follow at the Hatteras VillageCommunity Building.
