The 80th annual meeting of members of the Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative (CHEC) will take place on Monday, May 19, at the Cape Hatteras Secondary School cafeteria in Buxton.
Dinner and registration will be from 6 – 6:45 p.m., followed by the business meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Members are encouraged to bring their registration card, which is included on the cover of their May Carolina Country Magazine. (See image below.)
The meeting will include an announcement of the election of two cooperative directors, announcement of scholarship recipients, a special safety presentation from NC Labor Commissioner Luke Farley, and remarks from CHEC General Manager and EVP Susan Flythe.
The Cape Hatteras Secondary School string group students will provide entertainment during the dinner, which will be served by Crazy Johnny’s Bar-b-que. CHEC will also give away an impressive list of raffle prizes.
