Two nonprofit organizations dedicated to Hatteras Island’s youth – Heart Space and Outer Banks Buddies – are joining forces on Thursday, February 6, for a special Valentine’s DIY Event in Avon Village.
Held at the Heart Space Studio at 40462 North End Road, the crafty and kid-centric event will feature a wealth of crafts and activities throughout the afternoon including homemade valentines projects, a photo booth, snacks, music, and much more.
“We’ll have several stations set up, including a Valentine’s Box decoration station. We do ask that participants bring a shoe box (or something similar) from home to decorate if they are able to,” stated Heart Space in an update.
“Join us for an afternoon of crafts, snacks, music, and more! This free event is for ages 5-11. Preregistration is optional, but encouraged.”
The Feb. 6 event takes place from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and attendees can sign up in advance by clicking here.
While the event is free to the public, both organizations rely on donations to keep going strong, and to provide fun experiences and lifelong memories for Hatteras Island’s youngest community members.
