NCBBA makes donation to CHSS Middle School Student Incentive Program

The North Carolina Beach Buggy Association (NCBBA) recently made a $1,000 donation to the CHSS Middle School Student Incentive Program, which is designed to increase student engagement and performance by offering enticing rewards for positive behavior and academic achievements.
By providing students with positive reinforcement for behavior, academics, and attendance, (with rewards that include Student Incentive Trips, Student of the Month, “CANE CASH” and more), students have shown increased effort and a motivation to learn, improving overall classroom instructions.
162 middle school students can participate in the Student Incentive Programs, and according to program leaders, teachers have seen classroom-wide gains both academically and behaviorally since the incentive program was launched.
The NCBBA is a non-profit organization established in 1964 which is dedicated to the preservation of, and vehicular access to, the natural beach resources of the Outer Banks through conservation, a code of ethics for beach behavior, and by supporting local, state, federal officials, and other organizations dedicated to these same goals.
The NCBBA also regularly donates and contributes to organizations that serve the Hatteras Island community, like the CHSS Student Incentive Program.
