Continuing a wave of recent donations to Hatteras Island organizations, the North Carolina Beach Buggy Association (NCBBA) recently made a $1,500 donation to the Hatteras Island Futbol Club, which teaches soccer to local children, and has more than 100 young players participating in the program
Hatteras Island Futbol Club has been in existence in some way, shape, or form since the 1990s on Hatteras Island, and in 2024, the club launched its first-ever recreational futsal league. In total, the new league had 111 players and four teams, with kids ages 7-18, during the 2024/2025 season.
More information and updates from the Hatteras Island Futbol Club can be found on their social media accounts on Instagram and Facebook.
