The Cape Hatteras Secondary School’s varsity baseball team has advanced to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) state playoffs for the first time since 2019, and for the third time in the past 10 years.

The Cape Hatteras Hurricanes will travel to Wilson Prep Academy in Wilson, N.C., for the first-round matchup on Tuesday, May 6.

The Canes are coming off of their most successful season in recent history, posting a winning record – 10-8 overall and 7-3 in Atlantic 1A conference play – and a 2nd place conference finish.

The first pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, with a trip to the second round of the playoffs on the line.

Congratulations to the Canes, and good luck on Tuesday!
