The U.S. Coast Guard Station Oregon Inlet will be hosting an Open House on Sunday, May 19, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., and the community-wide event is an opportunity for the public to explore the site and pick up a wealth of information before the 2024 summer season officially begins.

The Open House will feature tours of both the station and Coast Guard vessels, as well as interactive activities including search and rescue demonstrations, an opportunity to throw the heaving line, and a special guest appearance by Sammy the Sea Otter, who is always one of the most popular Coast Guard representatives with the event’s younger crowd.
