FRISCO– William John “Bill” Wenzel, 82, died Sept. 4,2008. He was born in Philadelphia. Bill farmed in BucksCounty, Pennsylvania, and was a veteran who served in the U.S. Marines5th Division during World War II in occupied Japan. He was afarmer, millwright, hunter, fisherman, and animal lover. Billretired to Dare County in 1982 with his loving wife of almost 60 years,Mildred VanHise Wenzel. He loved the water and spending time withhis wife, many friends, neighbors, and their pets.
AtBill’s request, there will be no services. In lieu offlowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’schoice. Twiford’s Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handlingarrangements.
