WAVES –Nellie Midgett Farrow, 99, of Waves, NC, died on Monday, February 20,2012 in a Nags Head nursing home. Mrs. Farrow was a native ofWaves and a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Zion S.and Lucretia Midgett, and was also preceded in death by five olderbrothers. She was a member of the Fair Haven United MethodistChurch, the United Methodist Women, a member of the democratic party, along-time election judge, and an avid crossword puzzle worker.
Mrs. Farrow is survived by a daughter, Jackie F. Wenberg and husband,Ken of Waves; two grandchildren, Karen Wenberg and husband, VinceMurray of Frankfort, IL, and Kenyon Wenberg and wife, Carrie of St.Louis, MO; three great-grandchildren, Chloe Murray, Gavin Murrayand Eleanor Rose Wenberg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo CommunityBuilding in Rodanthe on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 11:00 am withRev. Jim Bliss officiating. Burial will be in the Waves CommunityCemetery. The family will receive friends at Twiford FuneralHome, Manteo on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. In lieu offlowers donations may be made to Fair Haven United Methodist Church,POB 177, Rodanthe, NC 27968.
