FRISCO– Reba Willis Midgett, 79, went to be with Jesus on Jan. 29. Reba was born Aug. 8, 1934 in Hatteras. She was the daughter ofthe late Harlon C. and Nellie T. Willis and the wife of Ellery ClarkMidgett II her loving husband of 60 years. Also surviving are herdaughters, Joni Midgett of Wilmington, N.C., and Jodie Midgett ofFrisco; sons, Jeff Midgett and wife Jody of Frisco and Jonathan Midgettand wife Suzanne of Wilmington, N.C.; sister, Darlene Ochs and husbandJohn of Frisco; brother, Harlon C. Willis Jr and wife Erlene of Frisco;grandchildren, Jeffery, Brandon and wife Angela Midgett,and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Neveah, and Austin, heruncles, Adrian Tolson of Norfolk, Va., and Leslie Tolson of Conroe,Texas; her very special niece Karen and grand-nephews and grand-nieces;dear family member Ruth Arnold, and her “little pal Mirlo.” In additionto her parents Mrs. Midgett was predeceased by her nephew, KeithWillis.
Reba’sstrong will, strength, and compassion will always be a lesson for eachof us. There was always an endless supply of stories filled withlaughter and smiles to brighten each day. Her sweet nature willbe dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives shetouched. Her spirit will be with us until we meet again on thatbeautiful shore.
Aservice of remembrance will be in Little Grove United Methodist Church,Sunday, Feb. 2, at 1 p.m. by Rev. Kenneth Davenport and Rev. RogerBarnett. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Buxton UnitedMethodist Men, P.O. Box 310, Hatteras, N.C. 27943.
