BUXTON– Sandra Jean Herzing Etheridge, 64, Buxton died Thursday, Jan. 29,2015 at her residence. Born in Patuxent River, Md., she was thedaughter of Arlene Donahue Williams of Avon and the late Robert C.Herzing and was the wife of Charles R. Etheridge of Buxton. She was a”good friend and known by all.”
Inaddition to her husband and mother, Sandra is survived by a son, RonnieF. Slater of Avon; a sister, Katherine Herzing of Kill Devil Hills;four brothers, Terry Herzing of Avon, Robert Herzing of Kill DevilHills, Joseph Herzing of Waterville, Maine and Michael Herzing of BonSecour, Ala.; a grandchild, Andy Scarborough of Wanchese; two stepsons,John and Anthony Etheridge both of Goose Creek, S.C., and theirchildren, Rachael, Amber and Miranda; two nieces, Mary JeannetteThompson of Kill Devil Hills and Cheyanne Gaskins of Avon. She was alsopreceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Bartholomew and JanetScarborough.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
