BUXTON – Clyde E. Stowe Jr., 55, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016.
Clyde was born Feb. 25, 1961 in Portsmouth, Va., and was the son of Clyde Stowe Sr. and Phyllis Stowe.
Clyde was a devoted husband and father and worked at Conner’sSupermarket as a meat cutter for many years. He was a member of theCape Hatteras Baptist Church and the Buxton Fire Department, where hewas a captain for many years and retired as assistant chief.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lisa Haskett Stowe; twosons, Thomas Stowe and wife Raminta, and Kevin Stowe and wife Hannah;his mother, Phyllis Stowe of Avon; his sister, Fannie Smith (Warren);his niece, Crystal Smith (Chris) and their daughters Kirsten, Allie,and Anna Smith; his nephews Warren Smith and Shawn Smith and theirfamilies.
Clyde was preceded in death by his father, Clyde E. Stowe Sr., and his sister, Goldie Baker.
The family will hold a memorial service Saturday, Oct. 15, at 3 p.m. atOur Lady of the Sea Catholic Church in Buxton. The Rev. RussHoward will officiate.
