BUXTON — Shirley Jean Farrow, 73, died on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017. Bornin Norfolk, Va., she was the daughter of the late Roland Bass andDessie Elizabeth Phelps Bass. Shirley was a homemaker, member ofLighthouse Assembly of God, and attended Heritage of Faith FamilyChurch.
Shirley is survived by two children, Donna Jean Penfield and Donnie L.Farrow Jr. and wife Melissa, all of Buxton; two grandsons, Jessie LewisFarrow and Donnie Lee Farrow; two sisters, Alma Holland and husbandDennis, and Marion Shepard; brother, Jimmy Bass and wife Brenda; andnumerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband,Donnie L. Farrow Sr.; son-in-law, Robert Earl Penfield; sisters, IrmaJane Bass and Margaret Flanders; and two brothers-in-law, Ed Flandersand Don Shepard.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, atHeritage of Faith Family Church with Pastor David Stowe officiating.Burial will take place at the Farrow family cemetery. The family willreceive friends and relatives Tuesday evening at the church from 6until 8 p.m.
