WAVES — Donna Gray Midgett, 73, ofWaves, NC passed away Monday, September 18, 2017, in her homesurrounded by family. She was born in Avon, NC and graduated from CapeHatteras School. Donna loved everyone and was loved by everyone.
Donna is survived by her husband of 54 years, Carroll H. Midgett, Sr.;son, Carroll H. Midgett, Jr. (Dawn); daughter, Angelia M. Jackson(Kenny); brother, James I. Gray (Joy); five grandchildren, CristopherScarborough (Katherine), Amber Distel, Shannon Williams (Thom), JeffreyDelMonte (Erin), and Angie Gaskill (Todd); eight great-grandchildren,Kristiana Distel, Brayden Harper, Kayla Scarborough, ClaireScarborough, Luke Williams, Mason Williams, Emma DelMonte, and CullenGaskill; four nephews, James Gray, Troy Gray, Abby Midgett, Jr., andTerry Midgett; and six nieces, Roberta Midgett, Joyce Waters, KarenJakob, Carolyn Benton, Helen Harris, and Amelia Midgett.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lonie Gray; and her sister, Wanda Dokken.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 21,2017, at Faith Life Worship Center in Avon with Rev. Bryan Gray andRev. David Stowe officiating. Burial will take place at the MidgettFamily Cemetery in Waves. The family will receive friends and relativesWednesday evening from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the church.
