KILL DEVIL HILLS — Beverly ‘Bev’ McGlashan Cook, 75, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend completed her earthly journey to be with her Lord and Savior on July 16, 2021, in Kill Devil Hills, NC.
Bev will be remembered for her young loving heart and for always putting others before herself. She had a passionate love for cooking, bird watching, the beach, and family. A day sitting on the beach watching the waves and the birds were considered a day well spent. As a homemaker she considered one of her greatest accomplishments to be raising her children whom she was so very proud of and would beamingly tell everyone she came in contact with. A day spent with her sister feasting on seafood and picking through jewelry and trinkets was an unmatchable girl time that would keep them giggling for hours. Her journey was filled with so much love and will remain in our hearts forever.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 28 years James ‘Jimmy’ Cook, her sister Catherine ‘Cassie’ McNair (Russell), her four children Michael Bridgeman (Brenda), Scott DeMasse (Melissa), Adrienne Lewis (Sam Davis), and Lindsay Lewis; Grandchildren John Michael & Savannah Bridgeman; Samantha Barker & Dakota Horn; Kellen, Adalyn, and Emberlin Davis; and Great Grandchild Kingsley Levashov.
A private family memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly’s name may be made to the Beach Food Pantry via beachfoodpantry.org. Expressions of sympathy and comfort are welcome via the online register at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.
