FRISCO — Carole Davis (Kelly) Clark, 82, of Norfolk, Virginia, died Sunday, April 13, 2025, after complications from Alzheimer’s disease. Kelly was born on January 31, 1943, in Fall River, Massachusetts. The family later moved to Virginia, where she graduated from Granby High School. She then worked for the city of Norfolk and later a secretary for Civil Service. Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Irene Davis, and sister, Choral Davis. She is survived by her sister, Crystal Blackmon (David), of Frisco, NC, and their two children, David and Jesse (Kaitlynd ), and great nephews, Lucas, Owen, and Jacob.
Kelly will always be known for loving kindness and eagerness to help others. She enjoyed classical music, reading, literature, bowling and travel. Many people throughout the years have been lucky recipients of her clever birthday card poetry. She donated to many reputable animal charities, focusing on rescuing, sheltering, and providing care for animals in need. The last pet she adopted was a handicapped cat dying from lymphoma. She was a true advocate for animal welfare. She enjoyed etiquette, fine dining and manners that she taught very well.
We want to express our sincere thanks to Kelly’s best friends, Billie Cummingham of Jacksonville Florida along with Linda Lucas of Virginia Beach, Virginia for loving her so. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that any donations be made to Brightfocus.org for Alzheimer’s Research or to Friends of Felines Hatteras Island www.fofhi.org. A private celebration of life will be planned sometime in the future .
