Kill Devil Hills — David Wayne Moody, Jr., 48, of Kill Devil Hills, NC died Sunday, November 22, 2020.
Born in Portsmouth, VA on March 3, 1972, he was the son of Rowena Rich Prentice and stepfather, David John Prentice of Kill Devil Hills, and the late David Wayne Moody.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, Wayne is survived by his daughter, Cosette Norris; a sister, Andrea Wiggins; a brother, Woody Moody; two step-sisters, Lindsey Prentice and Lesley Henry; and a step-brother, David Prentice II.
An avid outdoorsman, Wayne loved the water and all it had to offer. He successfully earned the USCG Master License.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 4, 2020, at Holy Redeemer By-the-Sea Catholic Church by Rev. Dr. William F. Walsh, osfs. The family will receive friends and relatives for a viewing one hour prior to the service.
