Julia resided in Jackson, NJ where she raised her beautiful family and worked for Laura’s in Old Bridge for 15 years before retiring to Southern Shores, NC 21 years ago, where she worked part-time for Resort Realty.
Julia is survived by her beloved husband Edward Korzenok of 51 years; her daughters Christine Kurdes and her husband Mike of Toms River, NJ, and Karen Korzenok-Kurdes along with her life partner Randy Lovell of Manahawkin, NJ; her grandchildren, Anthony Kurdes, Kelsey Kurdes, and Michael Kurdes; her siblings, Alex Kish and wife Irene, Rachel Wise, and Diana Grimmer and husband Paul Perdue; three nieces, Terry, Nina, and Lori; three great-nephews, Keith, Valentin, and Ruslan; and a great-great-niece, Audrey.
Julia beamed with the pride she had for her daughters and grandchildren. Her devotion to her family was beyond measure. Julia was a bright light in this world, a living example of unconditional love, generosity, joy, patience, and forgiveness. She has been our shelter in the storm, our cheerleader on the sidelines, our voice of reasoning, and our angel on earth and now in heaven. If you knew Julia, you loved her and immediately felt comfort in her presence. Her soulful laughter, the warmth of her embrace, will forever be missed and etched in our hearts forever.
A celebration of life will be held in New Jersey in the coming months.
