KITTY HAWK — Michelle Lee DeMatteo, 65, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, at her home in Kitty Hawk, NC, surrounded by her family.
Born in Benton Harbor, MI on December 19, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Jean Momany Cotero and Henry Cotero.
Michelle dedicated her career to public service, serving both the Department of the Navy and the Department of the Interior’s National Park Service as a budget analyst.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred Ray DeMatteo and her only son, Chris Storer.
In keeping with her wishes, inurnment will take place at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
