Virginia Faith Vloedman was born May 17, 1954, and passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023, at the age of 69. To many of her friends and family, we all called her Ginny. Ginny was a devoted wife to Gary Michael Vloedman, having been together for over 45 years. Ginny was a wonderful mother to Anna Marie Vloedman-Winslow and an outstanding grandmother to Ethan Dallas Winslow and Faith Marie Winslow, who called her Nana. Her brother, John Hutcherson, and her sister, Carolyn Hutcherson-Perry, along with her nieces and nephews, survive her.
Ginny was also an adamant churchgoer who believed fiercely in God. She was a generous person who enjoyed volunteering at church and in her community. Her family will always remember her love for chocolate, her skill at puzzles, her passion for scuba diving, her joy for singing and her goofy sense of humor. She loved to laugh. Ginny touched many lives and considered her friends to be members of her family. She will be deeply missed.
In Ginny’s honor, we are holding a service to celebrate her life and come together to share memories and thoughts. The service will be held at the Outer Banks Baptist Church on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 10 am. All who knew Ginny are invited. We would be delighted if you would come and celebrate Ginny’s life with us.
