Cape Hatteras National Seashore’s priority ORV ramps will open at 6:30 a.m. starting on August 1, per an update from the National Seashore. All other designated oceanside ORV ramps open at 7 a.m.

Priority ORV ramps within the National Seashore are ramps 2 and 4 on Bodie Island, ramps 25, 27, 43, 44, 48, and 49 on Hatteras Island, and ramps 70 and 72 on Ocracoke Island.

While night driving restrictions are in place, all ORVs must be off oceanside beaches each night by 9 p.m. Restrictions on driving after 9 p.m. will start to be lifted on September 15, if there are no sea turtle nests remaining along an ORV route.
