Coast Guard Requesting Help Finding Missing Sailor

The U.S. Coast Guard is asking for the public’s help in locating a 29′ Catalina/Morgan sailing vessel named MARTA which was last seen leaving Cape Henry, Virginia on October 24. 

Aboard is operator is Mr. Hugh Blankenship, a 5’8″ 82 year-old man, who was heading to Melbourne, Florida.

The public can call the Coast Guard at 757-398-6710 if they spot the vessel, or have any information that may help the Coast Guard find Mr. Blankenship and the vessel.
