Cape Hatteras Schools will have a remote learning day on Tuesday, October 3, due to weather concerns

Dare County district and local school officials announced on Monday that Cape Hatteras Elementary School and Cape Hatteras Secondary School will have a remote instructional day on Tuesday, October 3, due to weather conditions on Hatteras Island.

Dare County Schools is planning a regular face-to-face instructional day for all schools north of Oregon Inlet

N.C. Highway 12 closed in between Rodanthe and Oregon Inlet on 4:15 p.m. on Monday due to ocean overwash. For more information on road conditions and the weather forecast, click here.
