Coastal Science & Engineering (CSE)—which is tasked with managing the Buxton beach nourishment project that was performed by Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company (GLDD)—has released its second newsletter containing a construction summary.

This newsletter documents the milestones that GLDD achieved during construction from June 30, 2022 to August 16, 2022. The newsletter also contains an explanation of what to expect after nourishment, including initial beach profile adjustment, natural dune growth, sand fencing, and vegetation plans. Finally, it provides guidance to oceanfront property owners who wish to conduct sand scraping or build any type of structure on their property in the future.
