Dare County Schools (DCS) issued the following message on Wednesday morning, March 5, regarding school operations on Wednesday. For more information on the local forecast, click here.
Due to anticipated inclement weather, all Dare County Schools will dismiss early today, March 5. Schools will follow their Early Dismissal schedule, and all after-school activities, games, and After-School Enrichment Programs (ASEP) are canceled.
A strong cold front is expected to move through our area this afternoon, bringing severe thunderstorms, strong wind gusts, and coastal flooding, which could create hazardous travel conditions.
