Major traffic accident in Frisco on Sunday night; Fatality reported
Monday Update: The driver of the pick-up truck that wrecked on Sunday night was charged with driving while impaired and felony death by motor vehicle. One fatality has been confirmed in the accident.
A major traffic accident was reported in Frisco on N.C. Highway 12 near the Frisco Rod & Gun market on Sunday night, July 25.
Dare County EMS, the Dare County Sheriff’s Office, the Hatteras Island Rescue Squad, and local Hatteras Island fire departments responded to the call, which came in at 8:58 p.m. on Sunday night.
Per a witness to the accident, a Ford pick-up truck with three young men in the cab pulled out of the Frisco market very quickly, before the truck flipped over nearby.
Leroy Tracy Farrow III, 18, of Avon, died as a result of the accident. The driver of the vehicle, Isaiah Jahfar Christ, 22, of Frisco, was charged with driving while impaired and felony death by motor vehicle. Blood test results are pending.
