N.C. Ferry Division to host Career Fair in Manteo on Feb. 12

The North Carolina Ferry Division is looking for seasonal and permanent employees to kick off its busy summer season.

All job seekers are welcome to attend a career fair Feb. 12 in Manteo to learn about and apply for a new and rewarding career with the Ferry System.

The career fair, hosted by the Ferry Division and College of the Albemarle, will be from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the College of the Albemarle – Dare Campus, 205 U.S. 64 South in Manteo.

Applications will be accepted for all positions at all experience levels, including entry-level parking lot attendants (general utility workers), office staff, maintenance tradespeople and credentialed vessel crew. Temporary and full-time permanent positions are available.

Those interested in attending the job fair should bring resumes, references and supporting documents. Representatives from the Ferry Division will be on hand to accept applications and explain the various positions available and opportunities for advancement.

The Manteo career fair is the third of five to be held across eastern North Carolina. Previous job fairs were held in Ocracoke Jan. 31 and in Morehead City Feb. 5. Others will be held at the Southport Ferry Terminal on Feb. 21 and at Beaufort County Community College in Washington Feb. 26.
