NCDOT encourages folks to vote for the Marc Basnight Bridge in the annual ASCE Bridges Photo Contest
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is holding its annual 2020 ASCE Bridges Photo Contest, and per a recent social media update, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is encouraging the public to vote for the Marc Basnight Bridge photo in order to bring the Viewer’s Choice Award home to North Carolina.
Founded in 1852, the American Society of Civil Engineers represents more than 150,000 members worldwide and is America’s oldest national engineering society.
The organization’s annual bridge photo contest features entries from all across the country, and in addition to a cash prize, the winning photo will appear in a future publication of the ASCE Bridges Calendar.
The Voting will remain open through August 31, 2020. The public may vote for more than one image, but can only vote for each image once. All 2020 ASCE Bridges Photo Contest winning images will be announced in September.
