Three Additional COVID-19 cases reported in Dare County on Thursday

Dare County announced three new positive COVID-19 test results on Thursday, June 25, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 69.

The three additional cases consist of one non-resident and two residents, and include the following:

1) Male Resident 25-29 years of age, home isolation
2) Male Resident 50-64 years of age, home isolation
3) Male Non-resident 18-24 years of age, isolating in Dare

There have been a total of 36 resident COVID-19 cases and 33 non-resident cases since the first case was identified in Dare County in March.

New positive cases are updated on the dashboard of the Dare County website and are shared on the DHHS Facebook page when information is received. Dare County officials met last Friday afternoon and updated the Emergency Declaration for COVID-19 to include a mandate that face coverings be worn in indoor and outdoor public spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained.
