UPDATE – Alligator River Bridge Reopens to Vehicular Traffic

Bridge remains closed to boat traffic while maintenance continues  

The Alligator River Bridge on U.S. 64 between Tyrrell and Dare counties has reopened to all vehicular traffic after the swing span’s locking device was secured.

However, the bridge remains closed to all boat traffic while crews perform maintenance on the mechanical issue.
