August 22, 1928 – February 26, 2018
HATTERASAND RICHMOND — Fran passed away quietly in the home of her daughterand son-in-law in Hatteras, N.C., where she had been lovingly cared forthese last 10 years. She is survived by her four children, John StephenRoberts Sr., Ellen Roberts Abbott, Mary Kathryn Aiken, Sydnee MarieSlaughter; and by nine grandchildren, Steve Jr., Elaine, Molly, Arthur,Hannah, Sam, Charlotte, Oliver and Abbott; and two great-grandchildren,Eloise and Owen.
A memorial service willbe held on May 26, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the GreatHall of the Wren Building at the College of William and Mary.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any donations or remembrances be made to the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 442, Hatteras, N.C. 27943.
