50 new COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday, bringing Dare County total to 1,610

Dare County reported 50 new positive COVID-19 test results on Wednesday, December 30, bringing the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began to 1,610.

Per the most recent update, Dare County currently has 147 active cases, and the 50 cases reported on Wednesday is the highest number of new COVID-19 cases recorded in a single day since the pandemic began.

The 50 additional cases consist of 35 residents and 15 non-residents, and include the following:

2) non-resident, 50-64, female, transferred isolation
3) resident, 17 under, female, home isolation
4) non-resident, 50-64, male, transferred isolation
5) resident, 25-49, female, home isolation
