The Hurricane Preparedness Forum that Dare County Emergency Management held in partnership with the National Weather Service at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021, is now available for online viewing on Dare County’s YouTube channel.

During the event—which was held at the Dare County Emergency Operations Center in Manteo—Dare County Emergency Management Director Drew Pearson and Erik Heden, the National Weather Service’s local Warning Coordination Meteorologist, shared information about a variety of recommended preparedness actions and also provided updates on various weather service forecast products.

Those who were unable to attend the event in-person—or to tune in to watch the virtual version live on June 21—can now watch a video of the forum on Dare County’s YouTube channel by clicking here.
