MANTEO — Gregory Richard Keyes, 71, died suddenly at his Manteo home on August 29, 2021. “Greg” as he was best known, was born in Yonkers, NY. He greets in eternity, his parents, Richard and Therera Keyes, and his sister, Elaine.
Greg loved music. He was humble, a passionate reader, and a loving husband. For many years Greg worked as an interior decorator in Florida.
Greg’s survivors include his devoted husband, Forrest, of the Manteo home and his nephew, Justin Keyes of Raleigh, NC. Forrest will honor Greg’s wishes for cremation and as he requested- no services. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Greg’s memory to the Dare County Manteo Library in support of childhood literacy.
