Charles Forrest Brodie, III

Charles “Chucky” Forrest Brodie, III passed away unexpectedly in Virginia on November 5, 2021, at the age of 52. He is survived by his parents, Charlie and Darlene “Pud” Brodie; his daughter, Whitney Brodie; his son, Daniel Brodie (Hayley); two grandchildren, Keyonna Brodie and Austin Brodie; his brother Michael Brodie (Lori) and his sister, Amanda Brodie all of Wanchese, NC. When Chuck was younger, he was an amazing pitcher in baseball. His love for the game never left him. He carried that talent with him as he grew older and was able to use it to teach his brother how to play ball as well as his daughter and son. Chucky also coached several men’s softball teams and was an excellent coach and pitcher. Over the years, Chucky worked on many trawl boats and was a great commercial fisherman. Chuck truly loved his kids, his family, his friends, and most importantly, he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Chuck’s graveside funeral will be held 1 pm, Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Cudworth Cemetery in Wanchese. Pastor Kenny Midgett will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family is urgently requesting memorial donations to assist with Chucky’s transport and funeral expenses.
