REMINDER: State coastal commission to meet in Wilmington on September 15

The N.C. Coastal Resources Commission (CRC) will meet Sept. 15 at the Holiday Inn, 5032 Market St., Wilmington. A public input and comment period is scheduled for noon. At the chair’s discretion, comments may be limited to three minutes per person. The Coastal Resources Advisory Council (CRAC) will meet at 3 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the same location. Both meetings are open to the public.

  • Discussion of erosion-threatened oceanfront structures
  • Recommendation and discussion of Attorney General advisory opinion regarding CRC authority related to shellfish leases
  • Update on Marine Fisheries Commission lease rulemaking
  • Consideration of Amendments to 15A NCAC 7H.0305(5) Proposed Minimum Growing Season for Planted Vegetation and Oceanfront Setback Determinations
  • Proposed Expanded Exemption for Beach Mats
  • Division of Water Resources Dredged Material Management Plan (DMMP) Study Update
  • Consideration of Adoption of Amendments to 15A NCAC 07H .0304; .0306; .0309 and .0310 – Inlet Hazard Areas
  • Consideration of Approval of Fiscal Analysis – Amendments to 15A NCAC 07H and 07J to Allow Electronic Payments
  • Consideration of Additional Amendment & Fiscal Analysis to General Permit Time Limits
