Easily Navigate your Outer Banks News on the Island Free Press – Whatever your Device

Navigating the Island Free PressWe are committed to making local news accessible and convenient on any device at any time. Our new website supports all devices and is simple and intuitive to navigate. There is a sections menu which pops out from the left side of a desktop and the top right of a phone size screen. From there, you can jump to any section of the paper that interests you.

In addition, every article’s image and title are links to that full article. The section headlines on the home page and other pages are links to each section, and the meta-data under each article title is also clickable making accessing the annual and author archives simple and intuitive.

Search Island Free Press Archives

Search The Island Free Press ArchviesAny reader can also directly search the paper’s archives by clicking the ‘search’ icon in the top right of the header of the site on mobile or desktop. Once you click the link, just type your search keyphrase, click enter, and your results will be displayed.

We have invested many resources in preserving the history of the Outer Banks News with this new transition. Look Forward to tomorrow’s article, “Preserving our Islands’ History”.
